Studies show that Yoga can reduce Menopausal symptoms!! The article below was sent to me by a local Menopausal Specialist, Dr. Azmy Birdi.
A systematic review in 2018 including data from 1306 women demonstrated a reduction in Vasomotor Symptoms (hot flushes, night sweats) compared with both no-treatment controls and exercise controls. (Cramer H, Peng W, Lauche R. Yoga for menopausal symptoms - a systematic review and meta-analysis. Maturitas 2018;109:13-25.

I’ve actually done it!
I think I may have actually done it! No not nailed the handstand entirely, I think I’ve actually managed to create a GetCalmer YouTube Video which not only has good audio, but good video quality too!
For people who don’t know me very well, I am an absolute techno-phobe, and have no interest in technology. When people start talking technology (and when I say people, I mean my husband) my eyes glaze over and my mind starts playing ‘lift music’. So when I say I’ve produced something good, I actually mean it.
This passed year has made, no, forced me to overcome technology, taking my yoga classes on-line, and having to re-think the way I’m going to teach, not just over lockdown but for the future. I can’t tell you how many YouTube videos I’ve watched on “How to make YouTube Videos’!!
I’ve been teaching on-line now for a year, I can’t quite believe it’s been a year. So you would have thought that I was comfortable being in front of a screen, a natural…. When I started to record my videos, I never realised that I wouldn’t, couldn’t even say my own name without getting it wrong! Who can’t even say their own name out loud and get it wrong??? Er…me?
So, to coming back with “I think I’ve actually done it” - and be proud of sending the video (6th effort) out into the big wide world is a major achievement.
